pleasantly busy.

So today was the first day "on the job," if you will. I'm slightly overwhelmed because I feel like a low functioning human with my jetlag struggles, but knowing and believing that will pass, I'm doing pretty well.
I'm praying to get over my fears of inadequacy, or that I could do something to upset anyone that I'm working with or for, because satan uses those lies to keep up from being and doing our best in God's kingdom, and I refuse to fall into that.

First impressions:
Drew: just what I remember, interesting sense of humor, made me feel welcome but not so welcome that I can just speak up whenever I want
Chelsea: total delight. first song off her pandora was "chasing pavements." reminded me of sara. personality wise- i see similarities. super helpful. prayer is that she will continue to step in and help me, so i can avoid feeling bad or unable to do something.
Charlie: nice. hoping he can use me for BFT and whatever else he needs to deal with.

God- help me come up with good ideas, and help me not to want to come up with them so that I look impressive, but so that you can shine a little bit brighter to these kids. I want to make connections with the people Drew wants me to, and be at meetings and at different things that will help me connect with the girls enough to take them out to lunch, get to know their story, etc. I want you to change their lives and use me as a vessel if you can.
I am the jar of clay and you are the treasure. Crack me open so that you can show. Help me be myself around these people so that they can see how You ARE through me, so I can see how you are through them.
I've got homework- thought I was going to be done with that, but I'm excited because it gives me a chance to get into the word more, which is a passion you've increased at the end of WIHL. I see this as another step into that.
Give me the means to introduce myself to the people you want me to know. Help me to stay sensitive to your spirit but not be overly sensitive to critiques or strange interactions, which are bound to happen and do every day sometimes especially in the body of Christ- when we expect things from other people that sometimes we don't even give out.
